What it means to be an INSTALL Represented Contractor:

Access to Trained Installers
    ●
The INSTALL Kansas City training center utilizes the "INSTALL" Training program for Apprentice level and continuing education programs for journeyperson level.  Contractors benefit locally from the nationwide resources of INSTALL. Our installers are kept current on products and installation procedures well after their apprenticeship. Through our collective bargaining agreement, installers are required to attend a number of Journeyperson upgrade courses each year to maintain the status of Journeyperson. INSTALL provides for the most informed work force in the industry today

Stabile work force

Through the training programs, installers are taught to work smart as well as efficiently - thereby giving the contractors they work for consistent, quality installations throughout a career - not just a season. Also, by having access to a pension and health insurance,  our installers have the peace of mind that they're covered for the future giving them a vested interest in the success of the contractors they work for.

Safety Programs
Our installers are kept current on First Aid and CPR as well as OSHA and other construction industry safety programs - at no extra cost to the contractor! These safety programs, when incorporated into the contractors safety plan, may actually lessen Workers' Compensation Premiums!

Portability
    ●
In the instances of a spike in the amount of work a contractor is performing,
INSTALL represented contractors have access to our extensive labor pool. By contrast, contractors have a network of other dealers to loan their installers to for short term slow downs without the fear of losing the installer or keeping them on staff at the contractors' own expense.

Representation/Protection - With over 50 council representatives and organizers, we:

Strive to level the field our contractors compete on through job-site policing

Have a collective bargaining agreement that assures each contractor certain protections - you uphold your part of the contract, we ensure the members do the same
